Dr. Donald Pruitt, originally from New Jersey, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified, orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hand surgery. He received his medical training at the New Jersey Medical School and completed his internship and residency at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons with a Certificate of Added Qualifications—Surgery of the Hand. While at Washington University School of Medicine he was an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Pruitt has had over twenty articles published in the scientific journals and has given numerous scientific presentations at national and international meetings.
Dr. Pruitt treats all wrist- and hand-related problems in adults and children. He is on the medical staff of St. Clare Health Center, Mercy Medical Center, Missouri Baptist Health Center, Mason Ridge Surgery Center, and St. Luke’s Hospital.
