Dr. David Lange, originally from Dayton, Ohio, is an experienced spinal surgeon who evaluates and treats all anatomic areas of the spine in both adults and children. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a J. Albert Key fellow. Dr. Lange is the author of several papers and book chapters on spinal injuries and disorders.
Dr. Lange holds membership in several national and international spine societies. He was a founding member of the North American Spine Society — the world’s pre-eminent spine organization. Dr. Lange is a fellow of the Argos International Spine Society. He has been a member of the board of directors for the American Red Cross Tissue Bank and the St. Louis Regional Transplant Authority. He was the director of orthopedics at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, an assistant professor at Washington University and has served the community as a spine consultant to both St. Louis Children’s Hospital Birth Defects Clinic and St. Louis Shriner’s Hospital Myelodysplasia and Scoliosis services.
Dr. Lange’s training and surgical skills place him at the forefront of spine surgery. His areas of expertise include the treatment of degenerative disorders of the neck and lower back, disc herniation, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and spinal fractures.
He is a medical staff member at DePaul Health Center, St. Clare Health Center, Missouri Baptist Hospital and St. John’s Mercy Medical Center.
